The Official Website of Blairstone Forest located in Tallahassee, Florida.

Dear Blairstone Forest Community Association Owners and Residents,

This is the time of the year when we seek nominations for a position on our Board of Directors. Our
Homeowners Association members elect a new BFCA Board of Directors’ member annually to
fill the position of the one Director whose term will expire in January. That newly elected
Director will serve a three-year term.

Our Board meets typically six to ten times a year with all neighbors invited to attend. The Board is
charged with oversight over all aspects of our Association, from dues and budget to maintenance
and improvement of our neighborhood. Each new Board member also pledges to follow our
Association’s By-Laws and to enforce our Covenants faithfully and equitably. Current pledges are
saved at https://www.blairstoneforesthoa.com. There is a new Florida Law this year – a requirement
to participate in a 4-hour class for “HOA Board Member Certification” through the Dept. of Business
and Professional Regulation, to be completed within 90 days of being elected. The course is an
educational curriculum for Financial literacy and transparency, Recordkeeping, Levying of fines,
and Notice and meeting requirements. Our Covenants and By-Laws compose of most the topics.

Our BFCA Board contracts with a management company to attend to the details such as collect
dues, mail ballots for elections, vet vendors, arrange repairs, and notify and ultimately fine
neighbors who fail to comply with the Covenants. The Board also has an attorney who provides
legal counsel on an as-needed basis.

If you are passionate about our neighborhood and your investment here, please consider
serving.

Please email your name and contact information to any member of the Nomination Committee
below no later than November 12, 2024. (And yes, you may nominate a neighbor; with his/her
consent first!).

Thank you!
